Overview
The Kedarkantha Trek is an enchanting journey through the stunning landscapes of the Garhwal Himalayas, offering a perfect blend of adventure and serenity. Situated within the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand, this trek stands tall at an altitude of 3,800 meters, making it one of the most sought-after winter treks in India.
Itinerary
Day 01: SANKRI – JUDA KA TALAB (6kms Trek one way) Height: 3384 MTS.
- Trip will start Early morning after breakfast, a small briefing session would be conducted by the trek leader where all the necessary details about the rest of the day will be shared. Then we will start our trekking journey. En route to your campsite, you would be traveling Through lush green forests consisting of pine trees with the Swargrohini Massif in the backdrop beckoning you closer. You will reach Juda Ka Taal after five hours of trekking. After reaching your campsite, you will have lunch. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Juda Ka Taal Campsite.

Day 02: JUDA KA TALAB – KEDARKANTHA BASE CAMP (7kms Trek one way) Height: 3384 MTS.
- Morning after having tea and breakfast, your Trek Leader will give you a briefing about the day before we proceed. After that, you will start the trek towards the Kedarkantha Base Camp, which takes about 3-4 hours. On arrival check in to the campsite, after fresh up have a warm lunch. The rest of the day is at leisure and you can relax by indulging in activities like snowball fights and other fun games. , Dinner and overnight stay at Kedarkantha Base Camp.

Day 03: BASE CAMP – KEDARKANTHA SUMMIT – BASE CAMP (9kms/8 Hrs) Height: 6150MTS.
- Wake up in early morning at 02:00 AM as you will finally begin your trek towards Kedarkantha Peak in early morning, the group will trek up to the Kedarkantha Summit. After reaching the summit, you can enjoy the view from the top and witness the beautiful sunrise from the summit. Shortly afterward, return back to the Kedarkantha Base Camp once again. After reaching, Lunch will be served at the campsite. It’s the last night at the campsite so you will have a farewell bash. Dinner and Overnight stay at Juda ka Taal campsite.

It is situated at the height of 3800 meters, Dedicated to Lord Shiva. Kedarkantha is one of the most popular treks in Uttarakhand because of it’s breath-taking Himalayan mountain views and easy access.

Day 04: BASE CAMP – SANKARI(4kms Trek )
- Early morning after breakfast, you will head down towards the Sankri Village from Juda ka Taal. The group will disassemble here and be on their separate ways with a heart full of contentment and a mind full of memories.
